Summer Time (Blog #???)

Oh hai there. It’s been a while.

I had decided to stop blogging for a while to concentrate on Gamers and Geeks and I will be launching something very new on the 5th of July. More will be announced closer to the date.

I have been taking it easy after my year in college. Helping out my parents and grandfather at home. I have been looking for a job now to do something with computers in the Monaghan Town area, but there is nothing there for a person like me *sadface*

I am (kinda) watching the world cup. I was very disappointed at the performance of England’s match against Algeria. Atrocious performance imo. Let’s hope they beat Slovenia to get through to the next round of the tournament.

As you all may know, I like Flock (Browser) which is built on the Mozilla engine. Well, now they have released Flock 3.0 Beta which is now running on the Chromium engine (which is the same engine as Google Chrome), It is fantastic (as expected) but I would like to see some features return in the new version such as the Photo Uploader (which I use to upload my pics to Facebook) and the blog editor. At the minute they only have the Twitter, Facebook and Flikr sidebar (which is now on the right) and tbh, I don’t really like it there. Let’s hope they can bring back some of the old features back to Flock 3 or else, I will have no choice but to go back to 2.5.6.

Anyway, I have nothing really much more to say now, I will try to get back into MLM this coming Monday (or I might do it now and queue it for Monday)

Scruffy

Hey everyone.

I would like to introduce a new member to our family (unofficially, we do not know who the owner is).

His name is Scruffy.

Scruffy

We are not 100% sure what breed the dog is, but we think its a Springer Spaniel Crossed with something. (If you know what breed this dog is, leave a comment below)

He arrived at our house a couple of days ago. We don’t know where he has come from.

He is VERY well trained and is very playful. He could be approx. 1 year old (But we are not 100% sure). We gave him a wash earlier this morning, because he looked very dirty and it looked like that he never had a bath before :P

We have determined that he never got any TLC nor he played with his owners (If he had any)

Overall, “Scruffy” is a fantastic dog. As I said, we don’t officially own him, so we put a notice up on the Monaghan County Council website.

UPDATE: I have just returned from the Vets with Scruffy and he isn’t microchipped, he is less that a year old, and weights about 10KG. He is in perfect condition and the vet said “If no one can claim him, you can hold on to it” We believe it to be a cross between a collie and a terrier but the vets weren’t sure!

I have changed all the “She” and “her” to “Him” and “He”

Games Review: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s World Championship 2010 – Reverse of Arcadia [NDS]

Time for a games review afink.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s World Championship 2010 – Reverse of Arcadia (Yu-Gi-Oh! 2010 from here on) is set at the end of the first series and the 2nd series of the Anime.

You play as the hero, who is a Physic Duelist like Aki (Akiza in the American Dub)

You realise that the Arcadia movement is a bad company and is using their powers for evil. So, you flee.

You then team up with Yusei and gang and try to defeat the Dark Signers.

The story is good, which is a direct copy of the anime story (with a few scrip changes) but retains the story from the last game.

On the world championship side of things, I much preferred this compared to the story.

Approx 35,000 cards are available in the game (9 copies of each card, even though that you can only use 3 in your deck)

The format of the game hasn’t changed that much from 2007 – 2009. The game lags alot if there is a lot of cards on the field and it’s the opponents turn. I was waiting for nearly 5 minutes for my opponent to summon a monster.

The Wi-Fi has changed. Everytime you participate in a duel, you will recieve a “Wi” point. Enough of these “Wi” points will allow you to get rare cards such as StarDust Dragon.

Overall, As much as its like the 2009 game, this is better. There is more cards that the previous versions. There is still a few things that Konami should do, such as Riding Duels in WC mode.

I am going to give Yu-Gi-Oh! 2010 a respectable 91%.

I reviewed this site back in December of last year (Link – http://padraigfahy.com/blog/?p=110 ) and today I went to the site to get some Brushes and WOW!

I am still amazed to this day at the AWESOMENESS that Brusheezy provides.

I was looking for some brushes on Google and realized that I had to pay for them but not with Brusheezy.

I will be using Brusheezy a hell of a lot more now! They deserve to be BIG now and even bigger in the future.

Keep up the brilliant work. You deserve all the praise you can get :D

I better do a quickie blog before I go to sleep.

Someone retweeted this during the week and I found it pretty amusing.

#eircom seems to be suffering a denial of service attack. seems appropriate given they have been denying service to customers for years … – @symphonysid

I laughed for a good 5 minutes at this. Even though Eircom has done alot this week, this was still funny.

So, this is it. 3 exams to go and I am ready.
Assignments for this Friday and I am scared lol
